BUSTER Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 As above, we were demo'd the new Menvier range, no backward compatibility, no RKP zones, no longer a Menvier installer - moved to prem elite and all seems ok Any comments / opinions posted are my opinion only and do not represent those of my employer or Company
Oxo Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Must admit first Prem 48 I came across was a breeze to T/O and default codes on. Just a "wizz" thru the menus and you got the jist so to speak. And I have to admit the RKP display is miles better than most, a bugbear is the poxy blue back lighting with small numerals/letters that play havoc with people whom have presbyopia. ( I know , I have it). And that is anyone over 40 in general. So not a smart move in any respect.
MrHappy Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 leg, teeth & eyes. I think its the Ox went to the knackers yard ? Mr Veritas God
norman Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Can we have TSi tickets when they do the captive bolt? eta, I'm guessing it would take a few goes. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
datadiffusion Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 http://www.coopersecurity.co.uk/news/companynews.aspx I have seen those new RKPs but no news since January.... I really do hope that Cooper aren't about to make a 'divestment'.... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
matthew.brough Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I guess so they gave us a look when we asked. Looked at each other and said weil make a note of that. The actual systems are nice and easier to setup. Panel is nice but prefered the layout of the m and ts panels. And the 485 bus with rkp and expanders mixed is great idea, and the rkp arnt slow like they used to be when they were wired of nodes on net 2!! Presumably on the old system you had a line for expanders and one for keypads? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
Oxo Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Ts range? RKP and LEC on one line and Nodes on another. So yes and no If you count the LECs (2 zones each) as expanders.
matthew.brough Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I never knew that. Never worked on any menvier kit. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
9651 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 good stuff the TS range, shame the M series ruined the rep imo
