AlarmScot Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Oh Morrison Construction got to love them to test out all the new Health and Safety Guidelines. The same guy also said Best practice is Drill 2 hocks into the customer lovely wall just to fit the alarm box followed by the 'Try and fit the box from the inside' Have you ever recently tried to drill thru brick and were we not all told to drill from behind and always wear Safety Specs, Gloves and Hard Hat.
Oxo Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Easier way. Drill 6mm hole thru wall and pass thru 8 core. Wire SAB and coat back with Grip Fill, or No More Nails. Pull up with said 8 core. Using a old Eurobell ensures a level fit Hold for 45 seconds and then staple the cable across the carpet and over the bannister to the panel. Job done.
whistle Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I know it's been done before, but this is health and safety at its best.

That MUST of solved my question. At the same stage do you then Ask for money and then Leg it out of a other 'Valued Safe' customer home

sixwheeledbeast Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 No need, Gripfill. To stop the wires being pulled out the terminals.
Scotmod Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 To be fair it sounds like you've had a **** trainer. Any decent course will tell you that ladders aren't always the best tool but still suitable. Right tools for the job etc. In my opinion if you don't have a set of ladder levellers and a Brace bar you should ask your employer for them. Essential tools if you can't anchor on.
