matthew.brough Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Hi Matt, Is this the type of event you're talking about when using keyprox or stand-alone MAX: ? Opening report. System disarmed. UNSET USER1Access lockout. Access denied, known code. Rejct Car USER1 I agree that this is a totally annoying bug (currently need to filter these out). Ever reported it to Honeywell ? Honeywells answer is that when the group is set and you present the fob it denies access as at the time the fob is presented the alarm group is set it correctly reports an alarm to the CS of access denied which we usually take action on but with a galaxy they are all now log only. Honeywells answer as usual was get lost, its how it is. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
9651 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Funny things them Max readers. As mentioned the red LED stays on all the time, weather set or unset on a Dimention, but fitted to a G2 panel the same LED is on when unset, off when set. So they obviously can be manipulated

So they obviously can be manipulated There is nothing in the programming for either g2,classic or dimension about controlling those LEDs. Interestingly in the protocol document from Honeywell there is nothing about controlling them LEDs so do you have any suggestion as to why its differs? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
9651 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Not a clue but it does. We have a few of our small lock ups with a G2 fitted with external max and the LED follows the set/unset. Not on Dimension though.
matthew.brough Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I'm interested as to why as no paper it shouldn't so it. Doesn't that make all your jobs non compliant as you shouldn't be able to tell the status of the system without presenting a fob / code or the status of the system from outside the protected area? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
9651 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 probably (we turn it off) but as you weren't aware that it could, did anyone else? ;-) see attached off RSS G2 account,
matthew.brough Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 That the g2 downloader software? Of so its not document anywhere in the protocol document for max readers. Just seen you say yes RSS. Ill look into that put of interest. The status of the system can't be shown from outside. ATS has something called screensaver which illuminates the led but turns it off after 30 seconds to comply with the rules. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
9651 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 ...................Hense we turn it off, but if left default (its in command 60 max........63 something rings a bell) it does follow set unset state, all LEDS off when set, red LED shown whilst unset. Something like the ATS system would be good............ say present the fob, it briefly shows set status to the user
matthew.brough Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 It is a nice feature as one of the biggest beefs customers had with setting outside was no visual confirmation of setting. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
