norman Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Only thing I can think is some skewed intellectual rights, but I fail to see it standing in court. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
matthew.brough Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Dunno, not an IP lawyer but raises an interesting question. If electronic messages are being sent via a radio signal or down a wire, what exactly is the crime for receiving it and looking at it? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

cybergibbons Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Ok. To be fair Adrian's a boffin in what he does and understandably protective of his products. If someone started wanting to reverse engineer our software I'd get quite upset too. Out of interest, what did you think of the Texecom ricochet? His cats had its evening meal. I think the panel's usability and feature set are excellent, and the security is excellent as well. I think it's a shame it isn't better differentiated from less good panels. I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/
