They work really well straight out of the box actually.

It's a bit odd having part conventional, part addressable devices all over the show.

You can only hush 3 times IIRC, then panel is triggered.

Am I being thick? Why would you want to silence a fire alarm sounder in a flat?

devices in flat controlled by push to hush, gives the occupier the chance to control local false alarm before full building goes into evac

I see, it's like a suppression so that you can investigate the reason for the trigger in your own flat before having everyone out.

Burnt toast.

Personally I refuse to fit them.

But HMO`s do have them as standard now.

I thought it hushed a fire alarm already in evac, that's what I couldn't understand.

Nah, stops a full evac on burnt toast.

C-Tec is a nice panel (The addressable one) this thing drags it down.

Better than that Aico stuff though!!!

The Hush button takes two address spaces on the main panel (one for detection, one for sounder).

Detection/sounders connected to the button are conventional.

If these are triggered only the sounders connected to the local hush button sound.

If the smoke clears the hush button silences the alarm, if not the hush button triggers the addressable zone.

This evac's the whole building or multiple panels if networked.

What can be simpler than one button?Seems to work well on the few we have done.

What can be simpler than swiping a fob?
