Im wondering what the thoughts are here. Historically we have always let a thread wander off in whatever direction it ends up in. However this then makes the topic title misleading as when looking at a title and the content at the beginning it ends up wildly different by the end of page 1.

 

Just an open debate to see if we need to change anything here?

I like the evolution of a conversation, long winded pish is the only thing that "grinds my gears" on TSI

Using the previous analogy that being in here is like being down the pub, you conversation down the pub usually goes off at tangents. I think usually the original thread is discussed in the early parts of the thread and it is after that it goes off on a tangent making it not such of an issue. The only drawback is the off on a tangent but might be useful if contained in a thread of its own name.
