whistle Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 I have been out to quote a car sales site today, with a view to installing CCTV with off site monitoring. The install is run of the mill domes and red walls etc. Our ARC don't seem to keen on taking this site on due to the fact it's an open site. How do you lot go about keeping unwanted activations to a minimum?
Belfastengineer Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 We have a site like this. Site is closed on a Sunday but always get punters walking round having a look. Audio challenge them put still does not seem to work. A electric fence would do the job.

alterEGO Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 We have started to do them now, used to avoid them but take each one on their own merit now. We have set times that are log only unless anything looks dodgy, then audio and KH/police if required after agreed time. Working very well so far.

cybergibbons Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 One of the garages on the Great West Road is like this. Perfectly possible to trigger the Redwalls from the pavement never mind the open forecourt . Audio challenges started out quick and authoritative 2 years ago, the man now sounds like he is dead inside. I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/

He's got a sore through with all the false alerts he's been getting with it being an open site. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

whistle Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 Priced it and advised any more than 60 FA's a month will incur additional costs.
