for a pound, you'd never be able to pinch it from WH Smith due the new cameras & it would be too heavy to run with

Id agree, I'm tried to push this a few years ago and it wad decided there was no demand. Id also pay say a tenner 15 quid per guide.

Totally agree, no demand, who decided that, a pen pusher?

I can't think of anything worse than an insiders guide on how to do our job which will be available to all and sundry on eBay/down the pub etc..  Why help all the plumbers and car washers steal our business??

Maybe, but its a bit like a 'No 4x4s' sign on a byway. The thoughtless actions of some people that usually cause such signs to go up in the first place,

tend not to take much heed of an unpoliced 12" square of aluminium with some writing on.

 

What I'm saying is that the real cowboys wouldn't waste their money on such a book anyway, so ultimately I think it wouldn't stop or

encourage them one way or another.

bear in mind im thinking of the equivalent to the electrical ones. Did they get abused or are they of assitance

Agreed - they are of great use, like the Ladybird version of the regs but in a good way
