hatfield Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 hi lads 1st post after many months, its been a long time since i have worked on price for fire but what is the going rate on price per point (cable and clips etc supplied by others) in advance
Scotmod Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I'd be surprised if anyone would post an actual figure here. How long ago were you last pricing for work? If it was under 6 months add 2.5% if it was over 6 months add 5%
Lwillis Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Depends on the gear and cable runs I suppose. £200 per point ?
sjsturner Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Depend on install method too ^lwillis beat me to it^
james.wilson Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 £200 a point? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Lwillis Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 £200 a point? well without knowing anything about the job? it could be pyro with 100m cable runs
james.wilson Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yes but assuming its not M then the runs between points will be small. ie in the above example a small 10 device conventional would have 2k of subby labour on it. You could do that in a day securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Truss and France Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Its been a while for me to but the going rate for an FP install, 10m point with 'them' supplying all the kit is £50 a point. I have worked for £40 a point but it was all in conduit or in a basket. If anything the rate has gone down due to a lot of the electrical contractors installing the cables themselves (yes we know what a dogs dinner they make of it), if you can get more then you have had a result. Good luck. Kev
