Paul P Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Why not use an access control panel the software will let you program your own bank holidays etc The cost was the concern. Trade Member
Cubit Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Why not use an access control panel the software will let you program your own bank holidays etc That's the route i'd go too. Makes it possible for key staff to still gain access without extra controls and gives full audit to boot. The cost was the concern. Budget??
arfur mo Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Videx do a 7 day digital timer, but how about a central heating timer? our Drayton 3, can be set for holidays and clock auto allows for BST/GMT. You would have to put it through a mains coil relay. An alternative is use a GSM-SECURE supplied gate unit called Eldes ESIM110, you simply text it to disable, i think you can set certain time windows, i know you can for allowing certain phone numbers access in seven time windows, you can even control it over the web if the SIM has data enabled. you can down load the manual. unit cost about £95.00 + VAT AND POST, warranty 2 years. (no, i don't get any commissions either ). If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Cubit Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 £50 - £100? A bit too cheap. But an ActPro 100 circa £175 will do it, direct from keypad or free software and programme away, any days you like
arfur mo Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 down load the Eldes GSM full manual from here -: http://www.eldes.co.uk/en/gsm-remote-control-alarm-systems/gsm-switch-gate-controller-relay-auto-dialler-esim110.html very good bit of kit imho there are other models but not sure about having any time windows If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
