dannycelluk Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Hello there I maintain the fire systems within a very large facility. In one of the buildings we have a Minerva MXC fire panel (The type with the plactic case) Unfortunatly the panel enable key has broken the plastic switch. This means that the only way to reset the system after an alarm is to down power the panel. Ive heard that there is a way of enabling the keypad, with a number of key presses, is this correct? If so would anybody be able to send me the sequence? We are hoping to replace the panel with a newer model with the metal casing to ensure this does not happen again, but due to the time it takes to complete change control procedures, we need a way of access the old panel until the new panel is installed. Regards Dan
dannycelluk Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks for the quick reply, that must be a different MXC panel. our panel looks like this https://www.tycoemea.com/English/products/fire/minervapanels/minervamxc.asp Our panel only has "accept, silence, reset and evac buttons. no numbers.
goncall Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Is it the one with the 3 grey buttons next to the key slot
goncall Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Those 3 grey buttons are the code ones, mark them 123 then type 12321 that enables the panel
dannycelluk Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 ah ok, thanks alot for that! how do you then deactivate the buttons after you have silence reset etc? Dan
