matthew.brough Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Worst advise ever. Beam Pair yes. DK..............................FFS Maybe we should extend to door contacts, vipers, pas and pressure mats? Keep the false alarms down eh? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
whistle Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 When I was at AD* I went to a call to chek over the system after loads of FA's found the engineer on the last visit had programmed the roller shutters that had give the problems on double knock and told the customer they should by ok now. Another one was to fit an RB007 on a zone that was hi res. As in send 12v + through the zone to power the coil and use the NC for the zone. They seemed think this was an acceptable fix.

I'm sure in both cases problem solved? Just hope those crooks dropped the shutter and opened it again when making the getaway. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
arfur mo Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Double knock on a set of beams? I know I've had a few to drink tonight but I did just read you suggested to out a beam on double knock? not ir beams, i'm taliking external motion detection such as WatchOuts or Optex PIR units, how would washing ever affect beams - unless you hung it on it lol! If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
alterEGO Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 We have external detecton on IAS systems. Progged in its own area with 1m bell time and sent on its own pin (SIA soon). We have only used Risco watchouts so far for this.

sixwheeledbeast Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Have a couple of LX402's in our back yard. Via the magic of custom outputs they trigger the strobe on the bell if the house is armed.
james.wilson Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I have a few hkc wireless quads outside at mine. Was originally just for testing but they work rather well. However they don't like bright sunlight. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
arfur mo Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 had a good laugh today, been on the take over/upgrade over for ages. Today i'm investigate existing flat roof detection between offices and warehouse's. Previous co had used Optex external detectors that are really more suited to auto lighting. Found whoever, had put the dusk adjustment half way up, meaning no detection during daylight hours. i thought how considerate of that engineer towards our decent hard working burglars lol!
