cybergibbons Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I got sent a couple of interesting presentations about Visonic PowerG recently - I've put them in the upload area: http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/files/file/1152-visonic-powerg-overview/ http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/files/file/1153-why-visonics-powerg-is-superior-to-standard-rf-protocols/ There's a couple of presentations about hacking Z-wave/Zigbee coming up at Defcon, so it's of note that Visonic looked at Zigbee as an option for alarms. Note that it tells you there system uses 4 hopping frequencies at 64hops/s in the 868MHz band, which although technically is FHSS, is a long way from adding any security or noise immunity. I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/
