timmo66 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Fitted first one other day. And for the first time had a customer ask me to put the england dialling code before the phone numbers. I didnt think it made a difference these days? He spends a lot of time out of the country and i humoured him when he said he wanted the dialling code programmed in. But theres no way of programming a + and if you type the dialling code in various different formats the dialler doesnt even dial the number on trigger as if not recognising it. Will the dialler still call his mobile if he is in a different country?
Lwillis Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Putting 00 instead of + works Aswell doesn't it? Or am I thinking of something else?
timmo66 Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 The full code is 0044 and then drop the 0 of the phone number. But tried that, like i say the dialler doesnt call until phone number programmed in normally. I wonder if it classes it as an international call and the phone line has international calls barred?
Lwillis Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I'd have thought it should still try and dial it and then the telephone system would then block the call.
AdrianMealing Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 HI Timmo, Â will find out for you the number can be up to 24 characters long, 0044 should not be a problem but if the line has international calls barred then that may cause an issue. amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
timmo66 Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 In the test messages menu it does try to dial the number, and then the display changes to "playing message" (if i remember correctly) but the phone doesnt ring. Change the number to standard, test again, rings. HI Timmo, will find out for you the number can be up to 24 characters long, 0044 should not be a problem but if the line has international calls barred then that may cause an issue. Adrian, thanks. Will appreciate anything that you can come back with.
