Oxo Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 LOL Think I`ll walk, have a pint before hand. I fuggin hate the dentists and always need an extra injection. Only one thing worse and that is my eyes being touched. Had a bit of metal in one once ( Welding bench accident) and when the doc put a nuclear missile into my eye ( Well it looked like it at that range and fuggin felt like it too) I punched him and knocked him out. I really did`nt mean to. It was an automatic reaction. I really really felt sorry for him. And funny enough he did understand when I explained it to him after. He agreed to treat me if my hands were bound up, and I had to agree. Laugh now but I suppose I was lucky he never pressed charges. Top man. Oh and thanks!
sjsturner Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 The anticipation of going to the dentist is much worse than the actual event imo. Have a couple pints after! You might end up ringing jimbo before he rings you!
Oxo Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 lol One a dribbling fool and the other a dribbling fool. It sounds like a cunning plan I have another tooth that the filling had fallen out of. Might as well get them both done. Trouble is, not being seen until 16:00. Now bored to pieces and in too much pain to concentrate and go to work. Standard painkillers are no good to me and cannot take any more of my usual stuff until later. Might go out for a walk and make the leg hurt more than the tooth. At least I am used to that pain!!
norman Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 You punched your doctor and knocked him out? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Oxo Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I have an extreme aversion to my eyes being touched. Yes I did, not proud of it in the slightest. As I said he was a top man for realising my reaction was not one of malice.
datadiffusion Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Bet he got his own back. Like put that you had syphilis on your med record or something! Sorry Ox but when I went to the dentist 3 yrs ago whilst not at home for a crown, it was actually far, far worse than I thought and I've never been back since, just keep on brushing twice a day and hoping for the best ( So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
goncall Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I have another tooth that the filling had fallen out of. Might as well get them both done.have you tried brushing the fkrs....
Oxo Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 have you tried brushing the fkrs.... Twice a day and floss. Was told the dental hygiene was superb. Receding gums and age are to blame here.
arfur mo Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Class Dreading the bloody dental bill later. Although they did say £30 which I find too good to be true. thats national health charge, our dentist got took over a by two (i think Indian) brothers, who did a great job when i had 3 teethe pulled two weeks back and thats all it cost me. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
