dwdave Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 yeah I was just about to say that they sound expensive / impossible to obtain! 'till the next question ...
matthew.brough Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I think it would be cheaper to buy another g2 board with latest firmware. Any reason you want to upgrade it? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
james.wilson Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I had a spare but i gave it to matt securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
dwdave Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 As I was looking to add the SelfMon ethernet/Rasberry Pi module and it requires a higher firmware version than the one I think I have got. 'till the next question ...
dwdave Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Ive just fired the panel up and hooked on an RKP and it says Galaxy 500 V2.16 Time Date Am I right to assume that I have Firmware V2.16 ?? 'till the next question ...
matthew.brough Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Thats not a G2, thats a galaxy classic. A very different animal to the G2. Correct you have v2.16 so I assume you have had that panel a long while. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
GalaxyGuy Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 This will probably be an EPROM chip that needs replaced to upgrade the firmware. I have the latest EPROM's for the older Galaxy 18 and 60, but I'd have to dig through boxes of old panels to see if I have a newer 500 panel firmware.
