Ireilly24 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Hi all, after moving house I have decided to reinstall my powermax plus system. The control panel battery went flat whilst installing some bits, when I connected the power supply I got a clicking sound and 8 black blank boxes on the screen. The control panel will now do nothing's does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks Ian
Ireilly24 Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 But it does not work via the ad adapter either? Does it need a working battery connected before the ac adapter works?
Ireilly24 Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 Ok so as the battery is no good will this stop the mains power supply from powering the unit?
sixwheeledbeast Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Ok so as the battery is no good will this stop the mains power supply from powering the unit? It should operate with no battery but will be in "trouble". Have you tried switching it off and on again? Can you test the battery? Can you test the power supply? Can you factory reset the unit and reprogram? If no to the above you will need an engineer.
Ireilly24 Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 Basically it was all working on the battery untill it went flat. I then plugged in the ac adapter and it this point it all went wrong. It made a strange clicking sound and now displays blank boxes on the screen
sjsturner Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Get new batt do a factory reset and if your lucky it will be ok ( well as ok as a powermax can be )
