Not done this before and Id expect the lock to be at least as hard as the drill bits. Anyone suggest the correct drill bit size, and how long its likely to take to do? When drilling them type of locks i find it best to start small and work your way up in size. Usually no need to drill right through, the pins start failing before then and the lock can then be turned manually.

sixwheeledbeast Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Last time I did one of these I used a bit the same size as the centre circle of the lock (~7mm). Then once most of the way through all the brass pins fail out and it will open with a large flat screwdriver.
