Recently installed an informa speech dialler to a honeywell controll panel and its not dialling when the alarm been set. Instead it dials out as soon as a user password been entered to stop the alarm. I did a alarm output test on the controll panel and its dialling straight away. Then I did a dial test through the speech dialler and its dialling fine. But when the actual alarm been set its waiting for the user to enter the password n then it's dialling. Contacted honeywell and they haven't got a clue.they asked me to put a new controll unit n a new dialler and see. I did but still the same problem. I wonder does any one else encountered this. Pls share your thoughts.

You need to invert your trigger

and possibly fit 'pull up' resistors, should be in the dialler instructions.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Be helpful if you let us know which Honeywell panel?

its Honewell Accenta (8SP399A) mini control panel with lcd keypad

Honeywell ADE Informa Speech Dialler (8EP276A)

It will either be an option in the panel programming or a jumper etc on the dialler

Hi Pradeep So,

I know it was some time ago that this was posted but i have the same problem. when you say you connected the telephone cable the other way around are you referring to the PCB terminal on the speech dialler A and B and changed the Red and White wire  the other way around as in terminal A Red instead of white and terminal B White instead of Red.

Regards Derek
