Smart Electrics Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I have just purchased NAVMAN PiN GPS from the dredded Halfords. Not a bad price though you get all the usaul stuff but also all software plus leads fixtures and mem chip. all Maps included wich are updateable and many more things. This cost me the sum of £399 I thaught it was not a bad price. I let you know how i get on with it. If any one els has this then let me know how you find it. I wish I had this yesterday though as being stuck on the M25 all night aint much fun
Brian c Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I got a toshiba pda from e-bay for about £200, downloaded tomtom software and bought the gps receiver, cables and holder from maplin for about £140. I wouldn't be without it now. I especially like the 3D view and the checkpoint speed camera and POI add-on software available for tomtom. You do start to rely on it though, and if yours ever breaks (like mine did ) it's like losing an arm! Don't throw your maps away!! If you don't know......ask.
norman Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 It has been said before but I have Bluetooth TT GPS receiver, Ipaq 2210, TT3 software, Points of interest, Postcode finder, I wouldn't be without it. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
