dcsupplies Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 HelloWe have a Chubb Delta Sounder on our building. I've been asked to replace the battery.I'm assured its not maintained by a specialist. Can anyone tell me where I can buy the replacement battery? Also I can see a manual comes with new boxes. Is this available as a PDF any where online? Thanks for any help.RegardsDarren
matthew.brough Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Would it not be easier just to replace the bell? Forum rules prevent publishing of manuals in a public area. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

BDL Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I too have a Delta 6 bell box. It was installed in my old house. Now I've moved and want to re-install it, with a new wireless control panel. Before choosing a suitable hybrid control panel ( because the Delta 6 needs cabling in) I want to be sure the bell box works. I have no user instructions. Please could someone advise where I might get the Delta 6 user manual or suggest a way of checking the bell box out in advance? By the way, the on-board battery still functions - the LEDs flicker when the Tamp microswitches release. Many thanks, Brian
BDL Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Is there an echo in here? Yes, of course there is. The first query has not been answered, which is why I asked again. We now know that you're not allowed to give out instructions. But that doesn't help us, does it? We asked if the forum could advise where these User instructions might be obtained. Is it Chubb, or Elmdene or is there a "PDF" library or distributor that you know about? Or any useful information would be welcome, rather than what appears to be nothing more than an empty and sarcastic response?
james.wilson Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 There isn't a user manual only an engineering one. It is the policy of tsi not to give out engineers manauals to non trade. All trade members are vetted and have to prove trade. there are secuity implications. Trainee burglers would love us to tell people how the defeat systems. Chubb are an installer not a manufacturer and would only support customers with contracts. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
arfur mo Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 @ O/P. with all due respects you have moved house, this is an old device. legislation means if that device rings for more than 20 minutes, you can be liable to a fine up to iirc £6k for noise pollution tbh if the battery has gone (and you did not reply to an earlier question on how you know it is) its likely the rest of it is not to far behind. you woukd be very wise to buy you new panel based on its suitability to your needs, not due to its compatibility with an old EWD (bell). If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Once your system is up and running install the bell and let us know what panel you have installed. If you choose to install a wireless bell then that is ok. !
