arfur mo Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Mhhh I did know about EOL but not DEOL. I have managed to configure a PIR with with two resistors (maybe DEOL?) as stated in HERE the PBX manual, page nº 43, wiring sample image nº 5 . This is DEOL configuration? Still not guessing how to wire the four wires coming out of the magnetic detectors as there are no schematics on that PDF. with DOEL any break in the circuit, even when unset, will cause a local alarm, full alarm when set. so your anti-tamper 'loop' wires can go anywhere in series in that zone, basically treat the ends of the wires as tamper lid terminals in a device. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
securedigital Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 I have not activated double zone as in my wild opinion for a couple of serialized door contacts is useless. It is single zone, this picture.
arfur mo Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 seems now your now up and running . If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
securedigital Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 with DOEL any break in the circuit, even when unset, will cause a local alarm, full alarm when set. I have tried it with a PIR Yes, it is DEOL for Paradox Systems as cutting any wire raises alarm in both scenarios. Therefore...to wire the door contacts...I shall put two 1k resistors between tamper wires¿
securedigital Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Finally I got it working properly. I wired the door contact as a PIR with DEOL and now is working. The issue and annoying thing was that I was using a door contact NO, that cannot be used as NC, so when joining the door magnet it opens the zone instead of closing it. Thanks guys
