lamplight73 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Anybody quoting for these? Seem to lack a useable back tamper. Have asked Pyronix on the phone and now 2 emails to themselves but no reply. Am unable to quote using Pyronix Enforcer as it does not comply. NSI have told me to not use them until the matter is resolved.
james.wilson Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I doubt nsi said that? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
lamplight73 Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 I asked the question within a training day and they said not to use them until the matter resolved jamie. You may doubt it,
jiml Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The back tamper was changed a few months ago. Now it has a break out plate that covers both sides. The old one only worked on one side. Sorry about the old design, it was a hang over of the old grade 3 DT, but it's much better now. I asked the question within a training day and they said not to use them until the matter resolved jamie. You may doubt it, different inspectors say things line that. Would be nice if they told us.
matthew.brough Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I asked the question within a training day and they said not to use them until the matter resolved jamie. You may doubt it, Obviously not learned their lesson from last time they boycotted a product which in the end was complaint. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
jiml Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Obviously not learned their lesson from last time they boycotted a product which in the end was complaint. It's not just the NSI that does that. Out of interest, who did that bash last time?
cybergibbons Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Jim - what was the suspected issue? That the PIR could be removed without triggering the tamper? Matt - any details on which product that was? I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/
matthew.brough Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Optex Sequad. NSI launched a vicious attack on it and said it wasn't compliant and anyone using them got done. Turned out it was compliant after all. Whoops. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
norman Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Didn't they also have issues with the tmd when it was first released? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
matthew.brough Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Dunno norm although wouldn't shock me. Maybe an nsi company here will remember. SSAIB at the time said they would make a note if using them but didn't do us for using them. I felt sorry for optex, god knows what lost sales nsi cost them. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
