Dick Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Hi, guys. On my Pyronix V2 I can phone the sim and operate the expander outputs via the menu but can't operate them via SMS. They also work fine in engineer mode. It's got my installer scratching his head too and I'm hoping he'll come back tomorrow with a fix but in the mean time I thought I'd ask here. Any ideas?

Dick Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 proper installer?Yes, James. He's been in the game many years. I have no concerns about his ability, he's recently extensively updated my CCTV, alarm etc having first fitted it 21 years ago. The functions were on the 4 on-board outputs for a short time and worked fine via SMS but couldn't stay because of the allowed total 500mA across the 4 outputs. This apparently meant more than 1 function couldn't be automated at once with the relays used, which was no good. Now they've been moved to the expander (51-54) SMS activation won't work.
jiml Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Dick. Have tried to trigger the expander outputs via the voice menu? Just to check they are working?

Thanks for the reply, Jiml, nice to see your self importance isn't' your biggest concern. Yes, I can dial into the voice menu and they all work fine, that's why it's puzzling.
jiml Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Right, I think I have this sorted for you. The format of the message is a bit odd. You need to put a space between the digits if the PGM is a two digit number. For example expander PGM 56 is mapped to 10 and the message must be 'PGM 1 0 ON'. This is explained on page 23 of the user manual. This was updated back in 2010 I think. You are not looking at an old manual are you? Should be RINS1322-7.
