matthew.brough Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Confused.com giffgaff - the network run by people that hate 4i!? Seems that way . . . www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
datadiffusion Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Ah were you not on a tablet plan then - easy solution if that's the case! So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
matthew.brough Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Don't remember tbh. Can't see their issue. Data is data init? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
datadiffusion Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I agree but they clearly don't! The bottom 3 are the approved data ones... http://giffgaff.com/goodybags/500mb-mobile-broadband Interestingly, will wait to see what happens on the boat. I have an Ericsson W35 - not as old as it sounds, the last ever true Ericsson 'phone' made 2009 just before the Enterprise division got sold and the 3G Data / Phone boxes product line scrapped. The IMEI identifies it as a mobile phone (due to the POTs port) and all the unlimited data plans seem to NOT result in being barred. But with the WiFi and 4 port router its great for connecting all sorts on board. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
matthew.brough Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Very handy www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
datadiffusion Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 You can often hoover them up from the States or Canada new and boxed for peanuts. Work off a 100-250V switch mode - OR 10V to 28V direct into the back - more than handy! Most are locked down, but if its a Rogers wireless one, just Telnet in and login as 'root' and (I'm not making this up!) 'r0ger5' is the password. One command and its totally debranded and back to factory Ericsson firmware! So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
