are you talking designing a control panel from the ground up?

i'd have to ask why if so, as there are many fire panels available off the shelf.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

I'm unsure what you are after. Do you mean the zone layout that goes adjacent the panel or do you want to build a panel?

Why would you want to design a panel? It costs manufacturers 5 times what my house cost to R&D a new panel and get it certified. Recently my manufacturer changed the plastic the detectors were made out of and there wasn't much change from £160k in re certification. I can't see the point?

There has to be some class A drugs involved in this surely?

maybe, or maybe the internet is much larger than just the UK & the OP could perhaps be posting in their second language ?

mohsen, the forum is mostly made of members who's install products than manufacture products, personally I can't believe that making your own is going to be cheaper then buying panels, apart form the fact importing UK product to your country would be very expensive ?

Yup I'm assuming a commonwealth type country that uses UK standards as their standards...

Assuming this is the case...

Surely someone on ebay could sell you an old alarm even if just the circuit board? And the older the panel

the easier it would be to copy.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
