Paul Giles Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 lets get me head round this, someone is trying to change the pin on a 9448+? The instructions are not that clear but its easy when u know how; press number six press enter (button with same arrow as return key on pc's) enter existing code to be changed e.g 1234 enter code to be changed 1234 (Why they never say enter code twice is beyond me but i guess that would be too easy for scannie!) two beeps from panel as confirmation enter new code e.g 5678 two beeps from panel as confirmation All sorted PG Security Systems Somerset SSAIB Certificate of Merit Installers. www.pgsecurity.co.uk
Guest gazza_rog Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 perhaps the nvm is fecked? everything suggested so far should work, but if the panel causes this many replies why not chip in the twenty quid required and buy the man another one !
Guest munkymush Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 steady now................... alarm engineers giving money away .. lol
Wooly-bobs Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I've had this problem a few times myself. Tried to enter the code with the customer and it fails to go in. I often program the user code whilst in eng mode, its just quicker, no probs with getting the code in there!
Guest munkymush Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 i hav'nt got the engineers code though................
Mister_Dave Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Correct me if im wrong but didnt you crash the panel. if so : O enter 7890 will get you into engineer mode . Dave Oxendale York based security systems engineer.
