Not a pop at anyone, and code for each site should be secure, but the data for those sites must be recorded somewhere, and must be retrievable by the attending engineers, so what's the best way in your eyes to achieve this?.

A "Customer No" marked on each end station and customer paper work.

A secure algorithm and simple password locked application/sheetsheet to generate the engineers code from the Customer No.

I agree it's a little harder logistically if you wish to secure the source of the algorithm and work out which engineers are accessing who's detials, like I suspect JW is looking at.

my software on the lads tablets. Easy to do without in hours but the tabs and software is needed ooh
