dazoman1 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 what do you guys make of these? TMD15 (Grade 3) Digital Dual Technology and Combined Non-overlapping, with Anti-Mask, PIR and Microwave Detectionhttp://www.pyronix.com/tmd15-digital-detector.php i think we may start moving towards these but at what cost? are they worth it ? also would this replace a door contact and detector for confirmed zones?
Lwillis Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 We use them . Not to replace a contact tho but in certain places to give confirmed and reduce cabling. Not had any issues so far .
9651 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 We use them in the same situation as above, we never spec them on a new install, but handy if confirmed is required on an upgrade etc. Fine if using CC / EOL but absolute pain in the hoop if the installation has iD installed.
Amps Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Only problem i have found is when fitted in a warehouse and the concrete floor is cold the DT side seems to fall asleep and is hard to trigger. *concrete floors are always cold but i mean winter time with no heating.
datadiffusion Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I have one on a potential NY takeover. Sounds like they are 'OK'... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
norman Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 You're spreading yourself far and wide. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Adi Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 lol Ive used a few, no issues. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
datadiffusion Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Yup, £120 a month on a dialler should just about cover the airfare... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
