andyhodson Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 .......to charge in the region of £100 for an out of hours call out? If someone called a plumber in the middle of the night, would they expect to pay big time, if so £100 doesn't seem too unreasonable to me? Manufacturer
Guest Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 depends on the company i suppose.... ps. i wouldnt pay it tho......
andyhodson Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 ps. i wouldnt pay it tho...... But, if you knew in advance...? Manufacturer
Brian c Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 You're having a laugh eng?! Your co charge 80 for 1st half hour and 10 for every 15mins thereafter, don't they?! that's NOT out of hours!!! (plus VAT). And 99 for a D/T is a bit steep too, no? If you don't know......ask.
Brian c Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 p.s I wouldn't pay it either!! maybe for a customer not under contract with you, at the weekend. But I reckon it would be fair to charge up to 80 including VAT If you don't know......ask.

I'll be honest I'm looking at it to make people think about the pointless middle of the night calls - if I have to have my sleep disturbed its going to be worth it from now on. Manufacturer

If i didn't know about alarms and had a prob midweek, i'd be expecting to pay around 50 - 80 and more at weekends. Same with a spark or a plumber. 70 + VAT somehow seems to sound better than 80 tho! If you don't know......ask.
Brian c Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Also if they are a customer under contract with you, I think it should be less, depending on their level of cover If you don't know......ask.
