datadiffusion Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Ah right I only saw the pdf as a direct download but thanks for the heads up. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
arfur mo Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Im looking to replace a few 500W halogens with led floodlights. Anyone used them or recommend a supplier, thanks just say as yet i have not seen any that match a 500 watt, i'd rate the biggest ones i've seen which i think were 70's as 300 watt ish! ok at 1st floor but a bit narrow and less effective if up in the eaves of a 2 story. if for a client then best warn them, then remmind they are far cheaper to run and should last a lot longer (as long as the case holds out). If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
justin Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Had good results from some 50w models made by diamond lighting.
MiniMonkey Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 i got some ebay ones and I can confirm, the cheap substitutes are as they are described CHEAP... I re-wired mine internally put an earth to the casing and transformer, re-sealed then wired on a ring with flex and quickfit power connectors... back to a plugtop on a timer they have worked well for nearly 4 weeks ill take some photos.
bandelekurd Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Im looking to replace a few 500W halogens with led floodlights. Anyone used them or recommend a supplier, thanks Why don't you try for the Cosco, or directly throught eBay, Amazon !! I'd installed each one of these and it really works great,, Info,,
arfur mo Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Avoid the 'warm white' types, unless you want background lighting. Tends to be a very yellow wash, like the early energy saving bulbs. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
wsssecurityandfire Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Always check the lumen output not the wattage , have used a few which caused problems with cctv image
norman Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 That's probably the frequency. Eta, of the LED Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
