mimilovell Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 depends on how far the camera is from the DVR and what the customer want to do. Ie. we had a person who wanted us to hide the cable inside the wall and replaster. It was more of a general builders jobs, than just installing CCTV cameras.
datadiffusion Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Had the same Friday on a quote. Trying to explain that best to get his general handyman to be lifting boards, cutting channels, plastering etc... since they are having the whole house renovated, as we would have to charge alarm money, happy as I am to do it. (Later on, I remembered I was an alarm installer and therefore probably earned half what the handyman was on...) So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
norman Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 The handyman probably told them to get an alarm monkey to do the donkey work... Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
datadiffusion Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Before he fits the Yale.... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
ChrisMurphy Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 On a project this week we are doing a fire alarm through a builder (all top dollar stuff) and in the skip was a yale cardboard box, builder said "we did an intruder alarm on the last job". 30 years of experience, ssaib approved family business. We have a very long list of clients that we are very proud chose to use us. We have never bought out any other company or forced anyone to use us. All of our customers are free to leave us whenever they wish, yet very few ever have. This is down to the fact that we always put our best into every job. http://alarmguard.co.uk
