Yes. I didn't know if needed or not so I went on the side of caution and defaulted each time. I'll give him a call and see if we can get it working.

i would flash the panel up to the last release of the Premier firmware which was 9 something, i can send it to you if you want...

Make sure you use the correct version firmware or you'll brick the panel.

You have to be careful which panels you flash, boards pre v8 have to have an extra nvm fitted IIRC, and some early boards cant be flashed past v7

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

Yes, that is a good point, definitely had issues with a 640 having a lack of NOVRAM after flash.

Correct on both counts, this is a version 8 so all should be well.

But worth bearing in mind for the one I was tinkering with on the bench, thanks the advice all, I will check the V no. on that

one before I brick it...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

is there any protection that stops that, ie flashing a board that will be bricked?

I heard you have more bricks than a house builder :)
