james.wilson Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 in my van days i had loads of gal 60 chips. i used to use them on 18's as the 18 was a bit **** but the 60 was great. imo still the classic gal was better assuming 4.06+ sw than an g3 or dimension securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Got one I can't clear a fault message on which seems a known issue so a g2 is going in to replace it as it's only small and fe duo if the grief now. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
sixwheeledbeast Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 What was the difference in the old days? They all use the same micro now. They didn't pre-Elite.
AdrianMealing Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 They all use the same micro now. They didn't pre-Elite. Correct, with the exception of the 640, the only other difference is the size of the NVM hence the different memory maps and why you can flash them with the wrong firmware, but also the reason they won't work correctly. amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
Paul. Giles Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 The Classic and Dimension are not that different except for alerts really?
matthew.brough Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 The Classic and Dimension are not that different except for alerts really? From a user perspective no, from a hardware design there is a huge difference. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

matthew.brough Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Plus the classic was better imho I agree, very stable compared to it's modern day equivilent. Not sure there will be that many dimensions that stand the test of time as the classic did. Look on the bright side James, if demension PCB's were that good I wouldn't have had to buy 3 replacements from you in recent months www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
