Guest cctvmaintenance
Hello Forum, About a year ago I purchased a Baxall DTL 900/40 DVR for recording my 4 cctv cameras in digital format. I purchased the unit on the understanding that it was a 'non ethernet non audio' version but recently to my delight I found that the unit has all the hardware required and simply has restricted software / firmware that could easily be updated. However, after contacting a Baxall distributer for a quote I quite literally fell on the floor in shock.............aprox £500 for a simple firmware update I have exhausted almost every avenue, even contacting the manufacturer of the motherboard overseas but to no avail. So this post is a last ditch attempt to see if someone may possibly be able to help ? No disrespect to Baxall or their distributors intended, after all they are in business to make money, but surely anyone can understand why im a tad shocked at the quoted price ! Regards Mick p.s. you can mail or pm me if you wish.
Guest cctvmaintenance
Sorted, This saga started a few months ago and I have finally got it sorted, turns out it was a breakdown in communication between myself, the distributor and baxall. I now have a competetive quote for exactly what I want. Customer confidence restored fully Mick
