Rulland Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Where does one draw the line?, at least with a headlight you can see trouble ahead, but not be accused of carrying an offensive weapon!. I'm pretty damn sure in a court of law they would use something like ' A torch is for casting light, to see in less than favourable conditions, yet you choose to carry a weighted baton with a bulb at its front, I'm sure there are less obvious and lethal ways to turn night into day'-and they'd be right unfortunateley, you yourself Matt have basically admitted its the reason you carry it, true?.
norman Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Hence the rozzers used to use them raised above their shoulder like a shotput, ready to bring down and strike Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Cubit Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 The shop assistant said I should be careful as the police would see it as an offensive weapon but I don't see how a torch could be? Any views on this? Yes!! What the Police see and what the Law is are usually two very different things.
matthew.brough Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Can you belive Cubit they didn't uphold my complaint? There is a guy on YouTube that's quite funny called the love police who enjoys testing PC plods knowledge of the law. (Which seems to be generally not a lot) www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
