datadiffusion Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It kept going wrong on the day, the iPad, they had to keep reseting it... As you say the novelty will soon wear off! So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Cubit Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 It kept going wrong on the day, the iPad, they had to keep reseting it... As you say the novelty will soon wear off! On the evidence so far, i'd say nothings changed. An absolute bitch to set up. The ipad app seems flaky although the android one on my phone worked fine.
datadiffusion Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Just bide your time hopefully and the customer wont even remember its a feature. One of my customers went gaga over how great the scantronic ion webbrowser was due to renting, and has now had the same tennent for 3 years or so and hasnt logged in once... Shame though, the icom interface feels like the sort of thing some enthusiast could knock up on a pi and it just works... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Cubit Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Unfortunately the app feature is a/the key requirement so no such joy. It also suffers from the iOS problem of intermittent ringtone going on silent.
datadiffusion Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Bugger. I forget, is there any hope for a usb or network firmware update? So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Cubit Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Bugger. I forget, is there any hope for a usb or network firmware update? Safest way to programme it is via the network (very easy to get wrong though). Think I did see firmware u/g option, althoughbthat won't resolve the iPad ringtone bug.
