peter999
We have just had a Risco Agility 3 system installed in our house in Bangkok. The control panel is installed in a bedroom upstairs and a Two Way LCD Keypad is installed in the downstairs hallway next to the front door. I am surprised that the Keypad does not indicate that the system has been armed. We would find it helpful to see a glowing or flashing LED on the keypad to show that the system has been armed. The Keypad does have three LEDs as well as the LCD display. You can check the system status by pressing the #? key but I would rather have some visual sign. Our installers said that this is not an option. I have emailed Risco support so they may get back to me. However, in the meantime, I thought I would double check here to see if this is an option that can be switched on for the Keypad. Thank you. james.wilson
Its a requirement that it doesn't show set status anywhere as potentially a burglar could look through a window etc and see if its turned off securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. sixwheeledbeast
Its a requirement that it doesn't show set status anywhere as potentially a burglar could look through a window etc and see if its turned off This is true, I have noticed Powermax's seem to ignore this rule. On the Agility the keypads are run by batteries so it would make no sense to drain them with an indicator.

I understand the rule but it would be helpful if the keypad offered this as an option (our keypad cannot be seen from an outside window) and batteries can always be replaced. alterEGO
Use the app. The app shows set status. Have they installed a speaker? As the keypad does not have one.

We have the app installed on our phones and there is a speaker in the control panel.
alterEGO
You said the control panel was in the bedroom upstairs, you must have good hearing when you set/unset the alarm. You can get a wireless speaker btw. Why don't you use the app to see set/unset status?

arfur mo
you can have a remote wireless fob, indicates by led to confirm set/unset. Used instead if 2nd keypad. If your not troubled by 'official standards' the system can be programmed to show the status on the keypad, but being battery needs a star key-press to 'wake it up' to then show this. As the main panel is in your bedroom, you could simply press the large button on the panel lid, it will then speak its status (program dependant). If at the keypad, press star to wake it up, then press hold hash a few moments, it will both display status and speak it. You could have the system programmed to send email messages of closed, open, part set, alarms unset or any status change to your smart phone. it really is an extremely versatile system. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
