datadiffusion Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Installed 1991 by others, moved to garage by me 1995, replaced with (gulp) 816 with lim for both house and garage 1999ish. They moved out 2007. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

norman Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 lol, no they were ripped off by the rogue who turned up and offered to check their system Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
whistle Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Sell the 9800 RKP on EBay you will get enough for it to buy a brand new panel and RKP.
datadiffusion Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I would but I uninstalled it in 1999 and they moved out 7 years ago That didnt stop me though. Muppet on eBay sold a '9651 with 5 other keypads' for £45 freepost Pics (only) showed mostly 2nd edition 9800 rkps in vgc Paid for a short holiday COs of the 816? Lol, downsizing (to a Scantronic 95!) So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Paul P Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 The 9800 was a panel designed in the early/mid 80's, why would you want to use something so outdated? I like the 9800 so may be I am a bit retro? Mine is one of the originals just after they stoped the 30seconds to open the lid after entering the enginer code. Never had a nvm change. Had to refresh it once after a storm but I assume that does not count. Trade Member
datadiffusion Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 30 seconds? That some sort of inspectorate rule to stop OMBs? I remember the 'shock' of the later systems where you didn't need to open the ES lid at all... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
norman Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I had a 9600 in a previous house, bullet proof and possibly the most reliable panel I've ever had. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
alarming alarm Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 I have a 9100 with rkp at home and one of my relatives heve a 9500 with rkp and the others have a 9800 which I recently recommissioned all great panels especially the 9100 in my house used twice a day every day
matthew.brough Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I had a 9600 in a previous house, bullet proof and possibly the most reliable panel I've ever had. I can see why bullet proof items would be useful in your situation www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
