GalaxyGuy Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The on-board dialer requires a two way handshake, so even though you should be able to get it to ring your phone, since your phone cannot offer the handshake, the panel will report a communications fault. You can still add a separate dialler, or extend your system with IP based monitoring with a low cost Ethernet module or Honeywell's E080 Ethernet.
datadiffusion Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Scantronic later firmware 9751s and higher had a call mode on the digi called 'home beep', It would play a single tone down the phone! On top model 9853 only you could even press 5 to acknowledge! So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Brucep Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Hi all So if I added an Ethernet module how would that tell me if the alarm had gone off ?
james.wilson Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 You would need the receiver software or a monitoring account. The software only receives alarms etc. Designed for multiple sites where the co has their own 24 7 central security securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
al-yeti Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Doing it simply is add a speech dialler , Honeywell Informa for example, connect to one of the outputs eg bell output to input 1 and connect to telephone add your messages, easier to get someone to do this bit for you
