Gemini Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I am looking to find out the engineer code for an ADE Optima Plus 2. I know the user code, and have access to all of the hardware.
matthew.brough Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I'm afraid that will remain a mystery unless it is on the default code as engineer codes are secret to alarm companies themselves. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
MrHappy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 start at 0000 & work up to 9999, or google for a manual & default. do you have a wooden telly to match up with your 20+ yr old alarm ? Mr Veritas God
Gemini Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 I calculated there should be 10,000 code differs. Someone on site knows it, but I don't want to have a discussion about it incase they question anything. I cleaned the panel lid the other day and obviously the tamper spring triggered the system, and then I had to disable it a couple of times and re-instate by using the user code. I am aware that it can be defaulted to factory settings, but I don't want to use that method. Ha, going through codes seems good. I know what some of the digits could be. It was a DIY install, although an engineer or alike has been over to fit a speaker.
MrHappy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Someone on site knows it, unless we have a psychic medium for member I'd be surprised... Mr Veritas God
alterEGO Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I use my hammer to help calculate Optima plus codes.

datadiffusion Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 So, noone else here knows the back door password? AFAIK its **** on all but the earliest units. [EDITED AT 05/03/2014 23:05 BY SITE ADMIN] So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 The answer will always be.... Regular participants in our Forums include hundreds of experienced Intruder Alarm/Access Control/CCTV/Fire Alarm engineers, and company representatives, combined we collectively cover every aspect of the UK electronic security Industry, but there are certain things we cannot advise about for obvious security reasons. After all, your system wouldn't be very secure if we told everyone how to default it, or issued engineer/installer manuals to everyone that asked. So in light of this please do not ask for such things as they will not be given.
