Gemini Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 unless we have a psychic medium for member I'd be surprised... I meant "on site" as in, at the premises where the system is installed. The answer will always be.... I didn't see that notice before, and was asking for the engineer code (etc) for a system that is installed to a location where I have access to.
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 for a system that is installed to a location where I have access to. How does that matter? please do not ask for such things as they will not be given. This is pretty clear.
matthew.brough Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 This is pretty clear. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
datadiffusion Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I thought that re: access.... 'Hi I'm a casual burglar looking to rob a small shop. Once I break though the door I will have access to the system....' So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
norman Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Ah! But how do we know that you're not really a security engineer just looking for the engineer code? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
datadiffusion Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Right, here is the revised rules for getting engineer codes* From now on, you MUST take a picture, clearly showing; 1. A paper with a date within the last 12 days 2. An invoice mentioning your company name -OR- a recent copy of PSI 3. The system with you face clearly positioned next to the keypad 4. Another shot with your face clearly visible next to the OPEN controls box, then another one clearly showing a lack of police and/or confused and angry bystanders / householders / shopkeepers. THEN we will issue defaulting information. That is all. *not really So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Gemini Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Ah! But how do we know that you're not really a security engineer just looking for the engineer code? If I was an engineer, surely I would be more trusted?
Alarm Protection Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Just default the system and start again. !
PeterJames Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 If I was an engineer, surely I would be more trusted? If you was an engineer you wouldn't need to ask.
