muir Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 So here's the conclusion: an engineer came around and diagnosed a bell tamper problem - well done! Unfortunately I needed a new bell so I'm £160 lighter for that (plus £80 for labour) but the alarm is fixed and I've got a shiny, very loud, new bell on my wall now. Thanks for the advice. If I had a few more skills than I do then, with your advice, I would have been able to fix it myself, but got it sorted now.
