topgunn Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Can anyone recommend or know of a dvr that has a relay to accept a set signal from an alarm which will then trigger motion to an email address when set?
matthew.brough Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 How would a relay trigger a motion alarm? Are you not simply trying to get an email every time an alarm is set or unset? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
topgunn Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Motion to send an email simple. Want only when the intruder alarm is set. Soo basically, an output to trigger an input on the dvr to know its set. I have only come across this on an adpro but expensive and ott. After your standard average 8ch dvr with a set input.
matthew.brough Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 How much you prepared to spend on a DVR that gets you this feature? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
topgunn Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Well not after anything major, was hoping for an average dvr with this feature without going hi spec.
matthew.brough Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I was more looking for a figure in pounds shillings and pence? Average DVR isn't a currency I know. In my world an average 8 way DVR would be around £850 which might not be the same average you are looking to spend, hence the question. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
matthew.brough Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 That rules out UTCs offering. I have a cheaper DVR connected up and I'm sure you can use the input as an arm/disarm as we looked at it for cheaper CCTV monitoring. Just let me check before I commit and good news is cost wise it's 1/2 your budgeted price www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
topgunn Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 If you have a couple you know of that would be good to know, even if it is over £600
PSE Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Can be done with 2 relays, if the DVR has alarm inputs and outputs
