Brian c Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 ?? shunt codes/shunt locks??? put house on ward A with one code assigned to ward A and garage on ward B with another code assigned to garage. If you don't know......ask.
Brian c Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Oh....you mean Buster's post If you don't know......ask.
bellman Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 yup, so rather than have the keypad outside the area that requires shunting. shunt the area around the keypad, gotta be more secure Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
abbz Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 i have my system ts900+ set like this house is turned on via prox fob which is programmed for code set s but have taken ward c out of it . ward c is me garage so have another keypad in there with prox and seperate tag prog as ward c which is attached to garage and back door keys. i have a master code which if entered turns of everything. works a treat
Lectrician Posted September 24, 2004 Author Posted September 24, 2004 Incidentally its no problem with the Texecom Premier and theres 2 zones in the keypad 24197 I now have a premier24 eng manual, i cant find how to program a keypad to an area??? I am surprised how similar the premier is to the menvier kit - with some extras aswell! I would be happy to use different numbers for different areas, but woth kids, missus and mother in law, i think this would cause confusion. simply entering the same number to house pad to unset house, and entering the same number to the garage pad to unset that would be great. Lectrician Posted September 24, 2004 Author Posted September 24, 2004 Just remembered, Premier 24 doesnt have areas, only part sets, smallest one they do with areas is the 48 24642 Thought I was going mad!! . Email : martin@askthetrades.co.uk
