chr15athome Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Hi all I need to move a sensor about 6 inches and looking for a way of doing this without breaking the alarm system. I just can't seem to post an image. Thanks Chris
whistle Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 RS 100 It a good while since I worked on one of these Programming is a nightmare and it has no NVM
PeterJames Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I was fitting those nye on twenty five years ago. If it is/was monitored then you would be best off getting the alarm company out because its not the easiest panel to sort out when a reset is required. If its not and never has been monitored then you could move the sensor, the alarm will go offf when you start tampering but just put your code in the stop it and to reset it when youve finished just set the alarm. If it all goes wrong dont blame me I would recommend you get an engineer out in the first place if you have any doubts this panel is not a DIY system
cybergibbons Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Wow, that was what was in our house when we moved in. Very surprised the keypad still works - several of the digits needed some serious force to work. I couldn't find an engineers manual for it, but that was three years ago. I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:http://cybergibbons.com/
popjon Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 You might also wan to give the keypad a wipe. Is your PIN 1950 by any chance?
secureiam Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 if the pin is 1950 and I can see why you think that i would change it and leave the marks there, distratction technique.
