Guest doinkmilll Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 i have a melcom st 6000 system in my house and the pir in the kitchen is giving a tamper fault message on the control panel.. how can i reset this fault or remove the pir from the system so i can at least use the alarm. any help gratefully recieved thanks :!:
Guest ALARMO Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 You can just undo the tamper wire from the pir and the panel and link the tamper loop on the panel
FASTCAR Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 IIRC the ST6000 has a global tamper , so you could have a fault anywhere on the system , or bell circuit. If bypassing the kitchen sensor doesn't cure it, then it might be worthwhile to get in a pro. To omit a zone enter CODE , OMIT , zone number , SET. To reset ........enter CODE , RESET.
