Hi

This is a top website, especially when like me your pretty new to the game.

I wondered if anyone knew of any companies that can do remote monitoring of systems (preferably based in the North of England) and also if anyone knows where you can get AV digicoms from (I'm having trouble finding a supplier or the company website)

Thanks!

Firstly thanks for the site compliments, its nice to know when someone appreciates your efforts. Its still rather in its infancy and ive not added much new content these last few weeks but i do intend to start improving it very soon.

Are you after a Digicom that alows connection for Audio/Video verification..? or just Audio Verification.

Any local approved installation company in your area will be using another companies monitoring services, so if your after a monitoring company the best place to put you in touch would be a local Alarm company approved by either NACOSS or SSAIB.

Hi

I'm actually looking to contact a Recieveing centre directly with a view to using them for my own customers. I'm an engineer myself (I dont think I mentioned that) the company I used to work for fitted digicoms (audio only) that had AV written on the packaging in green lettering.

Sorry if this sounds a bit vague but I dont work for them any more and although they didnt fit many of them (boss didnt see the potential in them!) So I'm looking into setting up on my own doing (mainly) Digicom installs. I think on the site diallers were mentioned which seem like a good alternitive for customers who dont want to make an ongoing monthly payment. Do these work in the same way? ie initiated by negetive/positive start from a panel or panic circuit?

Yes Speech dialers are a great alternative to a Digicom, and can be wired in exactly the same manner.

The main difference is that they phone the keyholder direct, cutting out the need for a central station. And depending on the panel that its connected too can also signal a confirmed alarm and fire or panic if required.

Is there any reason that you require a monitioring centre based near to your location..? because you can use any monitoring station you choose, local or not.

I can recommend GRB security based in the west midlands, there great, very helpful to customers and companies. Weve used all the bigger names like Group4, and EMCS but GRB have been the best weve used to date.

Hi

I dont suppose I'm too bothered about locality as you you quite rightly say you dont have to be near them other than for ease of seeing them face to face. Do they have a website I could look at?
