db0070 Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 still leaning towards a rightly priced 800L though!
db0070 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 I bought the R8 eventually. It was relatively easy to put in and replace the C&K 700L panel and keypad. Thanks for confirming the wire mapping for me. The only snag I hit was the R8 box was slightly too wide to fit in the original 700L panel, so I had to install the box on the side. Which means the battery is now in a standing up position. I guess that would be ok for a sealed lead acid battery?

I better put a warning label on the front cover - but then again that could be warning to a potential intruder as well for whom sore toes are well deserved.
