db0070 Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 still leaning towards a rightly priced 800L though!
db0070 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 I bought the R8 eventually. It was relatively easy to put in and replace the C&K 700L panel and keypad. Thanks for confirming the wire mapping for me. The only snag I hit was the R8 box was slightly too wide to fit in the original 700L panel, so I had to install the box on the side. Which means the battery is now in a standing up position. I guess that would be ok for a sealed lead acid battery?

sixwheeledbeast Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 What's the difference between Veritas 8 and Veritas R8, other than a keypad fitted on the 8?Nothing really. Onboard keypad or remote keypad that's it.
db0070 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Hope the engineer has steel toe capped boots on for when the battery falls That 'engineer' will probably be me - and most certainly when the time comes, I would have forgotten the battery is out there ready to cause an injury. I better put a warning label on the front cover - but then again that could be warning to a potential intruder as well for whom sore toes are well deserved.
