Galaxy Flex Or Galaxy 2-20 With Rf Mod

Hi guys, just quoting up a job, old galaxy but want 5 extra wireless pirs.Panel is being changed to a newer version Has anybody got a review on a flex 20, is the programming the same as a 2-20. Whats your opinion on them. And is there much of a price difference.thanks

Never used flex and by the amount of issues I've heard I'd either go gd if needed or g2. Equally on the firmware releases issues with flex seemed to have calmed down but I don't see that flex really has much benefit for what you want.

Pretty much the same as Matt, I'd stick with the G2 or Dimension over the Flex. I've had several customers who have experienced issues when trying to mix portals and RIO's on the Flex series - all sorts of strange behaviour from the firmware.

 

Programming is a little different with the Flex V3 in the comm's area, but generally the same feel as the Galaxy series. The Flex V3 also has a second bus introduced - Honeywell Intellibus - Another protocol sitting on RS485 at higher speed.  Oh, and the devices for that bus aren't compatible with the old modules. It's just the comm's devices for now though.
